„Every breath that I consciously feel is like being caressed from the inside... and suddenly everything becomes very light.“
I don't know about you, but often in everyday life I observe myself struggling or realize how I am striving to achieve something. So many things pull and tug at me and because I just don't want to stop, I strain myself... But when I breathe consciously, it's as if I'm immersed in another world within me. There is no more wanting and shoulding here... the deeper I come into contact with myself, the wider the space becomes in which everything is allowed to be as it is. Self-compassion - yes, I think that's a good way to describe it. In a recent interview, I heard someone being asked: „What does freedom mean to you?“ The interviewee said: „To consciously experience yourself, to feel who you really are.“ That touched me deeply.
I asked myself what I am actually looking for when I am so driven? Is it the search for inner happiness, contentment, peace? Am I trying to find out who I really am through all this actionism, or do I need feedback, confirmation that I am alive? What often helps me in these phases is to simply notice this first. To watch myself with loving eyes, so to speak, to see how driven I am. To stop inwardly or at least slow down and ask myself: What am I experiencing right now? How does my inner experience feel right now? This attention alone, which I now focus entirely on my experience, opens my heart and allows me to soften with myself. Suddenly I feel a sense of space and my muscles can relax. I really have the feeling that I am sharing my human experience hand in hand with my soul. I feel she is always by my side and smiles lovingly at me.
A friend said to me the other day: „We are not people who want to have a spiritual experience, we are Spirit who wants to have a human experience.“ I think that's a beautiful thought. My breath - Inspiration - is like an umbilical cord for me. It connects my broad soul - who I really am - with my experience as a human being. Can you feel that too? Just consciously breathe in a few times and let go... ah... you can feel this flow inside you. That's your energy flowing through you at this moment.
This experience shows me that everything is connected and in motion. Feeling this connection to everything that is - or to other people - is a basic need of every human being. What was it like for you? What quality of being in common, being seen and feeling connected have you experienced so far? If something has always been missing or neglected (which is completely normal!), a kind of (emotional) hunger remains. We long for this feeling to be satisfied at some point. That's why we are always hard-working and ready to fight our way through everyday life. What we overlook is that our soul offers us this loving, nourishing relationship in every conscious breath. Then it gently whispers: „You are wonderful just the way you are. Let go - let it happen. Allow yourself to experience your (human) experience.“ And then I remember... and smile... this is why I love Conscious Breath so much.
